Tamotsu Murakami’s Favorite Design
Waste sorting specialized AI “Raptor VISION” PFU Limited
https://www.g-mark.org/en/gallery/winners/26828Tamotsu Murakami comments: In my university lectures, I teach the gradual separation of mixed beverage containers: first, iron is separated out using magnets, then aluminum is separated out from glass and PET plastic using eddy currents, and finally, glass and PET are separated using wind power. As the technology behind this product evolves, it will probably become easier to separate a wider variety of waste into even narrower categories. My lectures teaching this will surely be more interesting.
